Building Block Commons

Building Block Commons is a preschool through Middle School for children ages 2 years 9 months through 8th grade. Our qualified teachers embrace the physical, emotional, and social growth of each individual child.

Kindergarten and First Grade are propelled by a creative and hands on version of the Tools of the Mind curriculum, the Orton Gillingham curriculum and the Eureka math curriculum. These, along with our social thinking curriculum and outdoor education are known to build exceptional executive function, math and literacy skills. In the preschool, Science, Engineering, and Mathematics are the "S.E.A.M" that binds the students’ exploration of multiple academic pathways.

Our 2nd-8th grade school staff uses the Buck Institute PBL Works gold standard of Project Based Learning that is grounded in the the 6 Cs with a wide breadth of academic understanding.

Arts and Mathematics are the "S.E.A.M" that binds the students’ exploration of multiple academic pathways. In all grades, Building Block excels at attending to the academic and social needs of the whole child.
